BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 23. The lead concentrate production of Iran’s Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex in the Isfahan Province (central Iran), grew by 29 percent in the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports.
During 8 months, the complex produced 8,733 tons of lead concentrate, as stated in the data of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
In the corresponding period of the previous Iranian year, the figure stood at 6,762 tons.
At the same time, the complex has increased its production by 31 percent compared to the 8-month production plan (6,650 tons).
Moreover, 310,342 tons of minerals were extracted from the mining complex within 8 months, which is 68.5 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year (184,187 tons).
In addition, the complex has sent 8,199 tons of lead concentrate to related companies in the country, which is 15.3 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year (7,110 tons).
In the 8th month alone (October 23 through November 21), the complex produced 1,262 tons of lead concentrate, representing a 77-percent growth from the same month last year.
Reportedly, the Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex has reserves of 1 million tons of lead. The figure is expected to reach 3 million tons by mid-2023.
