Ekol CJSC refines oil sludge at two Baku oil refineries

In May, Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri (engineering services) purified 1.8 million cubic meters of industrially polluted water at the two Baku oil refinery plant (ORP), the CJSC said.

In this period, the two ORPs refined and neutralized 615 tons of oil sludge.

Azerbaijani oil products are produced at two SOCAR-owned Baku oil refineries with the total capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year.

In May, some 36 cubic meters of paraffin was purified as part of the contract with BP exploration (CASPİAN SEA).

Moreover, in May the CJSC conducted research and analyses of water samples at industrial sections of Oil Rocks marine drilling department, Gum adasi drilling department, Bail Port complex drilling department and Absheron drilling department. The gained results have been submitted to customers. Industrial sections of the Nariman Narimanov and Gum adasi oil and gas production unity underwent monitoring.

Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri was co-founded in March 2006 to solve ecological problems in Absheron by: SOCAR (51 percent) and Lancer S.A. Services (49 percent).
