Russian Gazprom and Azerbaijani SOCAR discussed long-term purchase of gas. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and Gazprom Director Aleksey Miller met as a part of the World Economic Forum in St. Petersburg., Gazprom said.
During the meeting, parties said they appreciate prospects of cooperation regarding long-term purchase of Azerbaijani gas.
"Besides, our countries have historical links and always have shared a single gas transport system. We have all conditions to launch purchase of Azerbaijani gas soon. Our cooperation provides good condition for successful development of joint action in energy sphere," Miller said.
