About 1.86 million tons of oil products were produced in January-April 2016 in Azerbaijan, versus 2.24 million tons produced in the same period 2015, said a report of the country's State Statistics Committee (SCC).
Currently, due to the increased fuel consumption, SOCAR, which is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan, is conducting work on modernization of the existing processing capacities.
Some 368,800 tons of gasoline was produced in Azerbaijan during the reporting period, or 8.1 percent less than in January-April 2015.
