BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 9

By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

The extraction from well No. 71 of the Khangiran gas field in the Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) has been restarted, said Farshid Kheibari Operations Manager for East Oil & Gas Production Company (EOGPC), Trend reports citing Iranian Central Oil Fields Company’s website.

Kheibari noted that daily 1.3 million cubic meters of gas are already extracted from this well.

The manager added that in this regard, the repair operations were carried out at well No. 71 for about two months.

“The company's own specialists engaged in the repairing of this well, thus additional costs were reduced,” he said.

The East Oil and Gas Production Company is operating under the Central Oil Fields Company. The company works in Khangiran and Gunbadli gas fields. The company extracts 62 million cubic meters of gas per day. The Khangiran gas field has 480 billion cubic meters of gas reserves. About 17 million cubic meters of gas are extracted daily from this field.

The East Oil and Gas Production Company extracted 15.7 billion cubic meters of gas in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, to March 20, 2020).
