Oil bitumen imports decrease to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 27

The import of oil bitumen to Georgia amounted to 14,600 tons, which is 3,000 tons or 17 percent less than in September (17,600 tons), Trend reports referring to the Union of Importers of Oil Products of Georgia.

This indicator is 5,200 tons or 26.3 percent less compared to the same period last year (19,800 tons).

Some 78.8 percent (11,500 tons) of imports of petroleum bitumen fell on Azerbaijan, 19.9 percent (2,900 tons) - on Iraq, 1.4 percent (200 tons) - on Turkey.

The import of petroleum bitumen from January through October this year amounted to 105,100 tons, which is 45,200 tons or 30.1 percent less than in the same period last year (150,300 tons).

Of these, Azerbaijan accounts for 62.5 percent (65,700 tons), Iraq - 23.9 percent (25,100 tons), the Islamic Republic of Iran - 7.2 percent (7,600 tons), Russia - 3 percent (3,200 tons), Turkey - 2.1 percent (2,200 tons), United Arab Emirates - 0.2 percent (200 tons), Albania - 0.2 percent (200 tons).
