The NDC-119 onshore drilling rig is the second drilling rig that has been started its operation in Iran's Maroun-Gheizaniyeh location, Trend reports citing the official website of North Drilling Company.
Ali Forouzandeh, Maroun Project Manager, announced that the NDC-119 onshore drilling rig is responsible for drilling a well with an area of about 3915 meters.
He pointed out that the NDC-119 drilling rig has started its work in the past 48 hours.
He noted that another drilling rig will begin its work in the Maroun project in the next few days.
North Drilling currently provides a variety of technical services to top Iranian and international companies, including offshore drilling and services, cementing and acidizing, slanted drilling, well logging, casing insertion, rotary equipment, mud, and cement engineering, cuttings, drilling operations control.
The Maroun 1 and 4 project is an integrated package for maintaining and increasing the production plan of 28 selected oil reservoirs of the National Iranian South Oil Company.
This 2-year length project has been awarded to North Drilling Company in the form of EPD, EPC contract on June 21th 2020.
The project's geographical region of the Maroun-Asmari 1-4 project is located in the eastern Ahwaz at a distance of about 50 km from Omidieh road. The purpose of this project is to increase the daily oil production to 14900 Barrels/Day at the end of 2 years and that is the main characteristic that makes this project one of the most important ones among the whole packages offered by NISOC.
