BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 29. Azerbaijan and Singapore will cooperate in the renewable energy sector, Trend reports.
In this regard, the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the CEO of Trafigura Pte Ltd., Jeremy Weir.
According to the representation of Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade in Azerbaijan, the document was signed during a meeting between Jabbarov, Weir, and the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf.
Additionally, the Director General of the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation, OJSC, Kamran Nabizade, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Weir.
The signing of these documents will enable cooperation in the fields of renewable and green energy, de-carbonization, aluminum production, and other areas.
Trafigura Pte Ltd. is one of the global leaders in energy, commodity trading, and non-ferrous metals. The company, with an annual turnover of over $300 billion, has more than 60 offices worldwide.
