Within the Program on Increase of Gas Production on gas-fields developed by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), SOCAR stipulates both obtaining of new credits and use of its own menas, Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of SOCAR told Trend today. At present SOCAR has enough means to implement a number of projects indepentantly.
According to the preliminary estimation, within the period of 2-3 years 250-300 m. AZN will be needed on the implementation of the Program on Increase of Gas Production. The main components of the program will be implemented on means from the credits the company has obtained and will obtain in the future. The rest will be financed directly by Azerbaijan.
The Program includes the modernization and reconstruction of the existing infrastructure the sea port, the diving service, workshops on sheathing and solidification of pipes.
This infrastructure will allow SOCAR to further develop new oil and gas field independently.
Also it is expected that works on the field of Gunashli will be carried out. For the improvement of the system of gas production and processing, additional construction and reconstruction works, as well as the commissioning of the existing gas holes and those which will be holed in the future are considered.
The other direction of the activity and increase of gas production is taking of up-to-date technical and measures, drilling of new holes on the gas-condensate fields of * Mart and Bulla-Daniz.
Within the implementation of the Program on Increase of Gas Production 22,3 b. cubic meters of gas are expected to be produced form the field of Gunashli within 2006-2015. According to the estimation of different components of the other two fields, they have the stock of totally 28,5 b. cubic meters.
