Azeri representatives to attend international conference in Georgia

Representatives of Azerbaijan will participate in the international conference on extractive industry transparency and energy supplies scheduled for September 11-12 in Tbilisi, Trend reports.

Azerbaijan will be represented by the head of Public Finance Monitoring Center Inglab Ahmadov, head of the Center for Economic and Political Researches Sabit Bagirov, Economic Researches Center Gubad Ibadoglu and others.

Also, the conference will bring together the representatives from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Great Britain, USA, Ghana, Russia and Ukraine.

S.Bagirov will deliver a report regarding the activity of Azerbaijani coalition for increasing the extractive industry transparency (EITI) and speak about the strategy of monitoring and about EITI development.

Besides, the conference is intended to discuss the activities of Kazakh NGOs within the framework of coalition Oil revenues under public control. The representatives of Mongolia will deal with the transparency of extractive sector of this country and progress within EITI. Georgian representatives will inform about transparency of revenues from energy transit.
