The total turnover of Azerbaijan's Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) dropped by 25.5 percent in April 2020 and amounted to 927.2 million manat ($545.4 million) compared to April 2019, Trend reports citing the BSE’s report.

In April 2020, the volume of turnover dropped by 5.5 percent and from the beginning of 2020 has increased by 38.9 percent.

In the reporting month, the turnover on the debt instrument market amounted to 836.1 million manat ($491.8 million), having increased by 4.7 percent over the month, and since the beginning of 2020 - by 36.1 percent. On an annualized basis, the volume of turnover dropped by 19.2 percent.

The turnover on the stock market in March 2020 amounted to 47,400 manat ($27,882), decreasing 6.4 times over the month. Since the beginning of 2020, turnover has decreased three times, and year on year – 6 times.

Turnover on repo transactions decreased by half over the month and amounted to 91 million manat ($53.5 million) in April 2020. However, since the beginning of the year, the turnover of transactions increased by 71 percent, on an annualized basis. The increase of repo transactions dropped by more than 36 percent.
