Iran to sell more assets via tenders - official

The Iranian government is planning to sell 400 trillion rials (about $9.5 billion) worth of its assets in tenders, said an official in the Ministry of Economy, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The government's identified properties in the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) worth 140 trillion rials (about $3.3 billion) that already sold, Fatemeh Vazifeh Dadgar noted.

A total of 190 government properties were identified for sale in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), and the sold assets so far were 9.8 trillion rials (about $233 million), she explained.

The online registering system, known as SADA, is registering identified properties and is expected to manage the government's exclusive assets if the parliament approves.
