Azerbaijan, Baku, July 22 / Trend H. Valiyev /

The company "FETek" (offering GPS-navigation services for civilian use in the territory of Azerbaijan) is expanding its functional component of Azerbaijan's routed maps for GPS-navigators, the company told Trend.

Work is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The updated map will cover all the cities and towns of the republic. A new routed map of Baku and Azerbaijan for Garmin GPS-navigators has a "night" and "day" regime, great detail and lots of addresses and locations (schools, universities, post offices and government offices, petrol stations, shops, restaurants, hotels, etc.), net of all roads, streets and villages

Garmin GPS-navigators users will be able to interactively update the map routed through the Internet. Interactive update will be launched shortly. The first two updates for users will be available free of charge.

The last updated routed map of Azerbaijan has been realized in early 2010. Changes were made to a map of Sumgait, Absheron peninsula.

The interactive map of Azerbaijan has been created on Garmin licensed software. It is protected from hacking and copying to another machine.
