NOKIA acknowledges Turkmenistan's leap in digitization (Exclusive)

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 14. Turkmenistan is currently experiencing a wave of digitalization, the company's country manager in Turkmenistan, Ismail Aydin, told Trend.

According to him, high-speed networks with low latency are a key factor contributing to the wave of digitalization in Turkmenistan, especially in industry.

"5G is one of the enabling technologies that will drive digitalization across industries. In addition, it is critical to safeguard the industry's transition to 5G in Turkmenistan. At the same time, Nokia is a world leader in 4G/5G technologies," the country manager said.

He noted that NOKIA, together with the Turkmen side, will ensure the creation of an early 5G ecosystem in the country.

"Nokia is a global leader in 4G/5G technologies, a long-term supplier of telecommunications solutions to the market, and we are committed to playing a central role in driving the development of LTE and the evolution towards 5G in Turkmenistan for CSPs and enterprises," he stressed.

Meanwhile, in early November of this year, a representative from NOKIA said that the company plans to cooperate with Turkmenistan in the field of personal cybersecurity.
