More than 3,500 Uzbek citizens went abroad to work in 2017, the Uzbek Labor Ministry reported.
They went abroad within the framework of the organized recruitment of the Agency for External Labor Migration. Most of them - 2,613 citizens of Uzbekistan - were sent to South Korea.
Roughly 922 citizens of Uzbekistan were officially sent to work in Russia in 2017.
This year, Uzbekistan plans officially to send about 50,000 citizens of the country to Russia in 2018 via organized recruitment.
The workers will be sent to the Russian Federation officially through the Agency for External Labor Migration.
Furthermore, Uzbekistan can adopt a law on recruitment activities, which will significantly expand organized sending of workers by private companies.
