ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 15. Oil production in Kazakhstan increased by 9.3 percent from January through October 2023, said Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov, Trend reports.
At the same time, during the period under review, gas production increased by 9.7 percent and the production of other minerals by 14 percent.
Overall, mining industry production volume increased by 6.1 percent.
As the minister noted, from January through October, the production of metal ores decreased by 1.1 percent, services in the mining industry decreased by 2.3 percent, and coal production fell by 5.5 percent.
In addition, the manufacturing industry maintains positive growth rates. Production volume increased by 3.2 percent.
Production in mechanical engineering increased by 27 percent, food production by 2.9 percent, metal products by 3.4 percent, building materials by 1.8 percent, beverages by 1.7 percent, and light industry by 12 percent.
Along with this, the volume of completed construction work increased by 12.5 percent from January through October.
The volume of oil production in 2022 in Kazakhstan amounted to 84.2 million tons, or 101.6 percent of the planned figure.
Gas production volume for 2022 amounted to 53.3 billion cubic meters, or 103.1 percent of the 2022 plan.
