Acting Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov today held a working meeting with a group of the Members of the Parliament of Japan, CA-NEWS reported.
"The elections in Kyrgyzstan were utmost transparent and open," the Japanese parliamentarians said.
Omurbek Babanov thanked for monitoring of the elections in Kyrgyzstan and expressed gratitude to the Government of Japan for non-refundable assistance provided with organization of the elections. "Kyrgyzstan attaches a great importance to multi-faceted development of cooperation with Japan. We are also interested in presence of Japanese business in Kyrgyzstan," Omurbek Babanov said.
Omurbek Babanov also noted an important role and effectiveness of assistance of Japan International Cooperation Agency to reforms carried out in Kyrgyzstan.
The Members of the Parliament of Japan also expressed readiness to expand bilateral ties. "Launch of Bishek-Tokyo flights will become another impetus to development of the Kyrgyz-Japanese relations," they said.
