BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Uzbekistan exported melons worth $16.7 million abroad in the first half of 2023, Trend reports.
The Statistics Agency reported that for the first half of this year, Uzbekistan exported 79,900 pounds of melons overall. In comparison to the same time period in 2022, this is an increase of 16,800 tons.
With 35,700 tons of purchases, Kazakhstan leads the top three countries that import Uzbek melons, followed by Russia with 29,300 tons and Kyrgyzstan with 12,600 tons.
While the demand for Uzbek melons is constant, the supply is still growing.
