BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, February 19. Plans to establish an intelligent logistics hub in Kyrgyzstan were discussed during a meeting between Sanjar Bolotov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, and a delegation from the logistics company Ecovice Origin and Sunjin Engineering & Architecture from South Korea, Trend reports.
This meeting continued the discussions outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and the Ecovice Origin and Sunjin Engineering & Architecture Consortium. The document was signed on December 4, 2024, during the official visit of Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Zhaparov to South Korea, with a focus on building logistics centers in Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the Korean delegation delivered a comprehensive briefing on the advancement of the project's overarching blueprint. Consortium representatives disseminated their specialized knowledge in the domain and articulated their strategic vision for optimizing Kyrgyzstan's logistics infrastructure.
Ecovice was established in 1993. Between 1998 and 2006, the company opened representative offices in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and China.
Sunjin was founded in 1975. The company’s project portfolio includes over 10,000 projects across various sectors, including urban planning. Notable projects in Central Asia include a planned 500-bed hospital in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and an IT park in Karachi, Pakistan, covering over 76,000 square meters.
In Kyrgyzstan, the companies are already working on the construction of temporary storage warehouses (TSW) in the northern part of Bishkek and are collaborating with the Chakan HPP OJSC to develop a floating photovoltaic station at HPP-5.
