DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, August 22. Tajikistan imported 1,620 motor cars from Georgia from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, this figure is 1.9 times higher than in the corresponding months of 2022 (827 cars).
The value of these imports reached $17.447 million, which is a 3.4-fold increase compared to the same period in 2022 ($5.084 million).
Motor cars accounted for over 78 percent of Tajikistan's imports from Georgia from January through July 2023.
Overall, the trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia amounted to $22.170 million in the period from January through July 2023. This represents an increase of 81 percent compared to the same months in 2022 ($7.863 million).
Tajikistan’s imports from Georgia totaled $22.134 million, which is a rise of 2.8 times over $7.673 million from January through July 2023. The country’s exports to Georgia reached $36,030, which is 5.2 times lower than the corresponding months of 2022 ($190,130).
