ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 13. Turkmenistan surpassed initial forecast with an 10.7 percent revenue increase in the state budget, from January through October 2023, Trend reports.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, during the specified period, the expenditure part of the state budget was fulfilled by 97.8 percent, and the volume of capital investments disbursed from all sources of financing increased by 7.4 percent compared to the first ten months of 2022.
Furthermore, he noted that compared to the same period last year, in the first 10 months of 2023, 53 social facilities, 34 water and sewage treatment plants, 379,900 square meters of housing, as well as engineering systems were built as part of the implementation of the National Rural Program.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan has demonstrated steady growth of its economy based on diverse efforts in the energy, transport and infrastructure sectors.
The country is actively implementing programs to attract foreign investment, focusing on economic diversification and improving the business climate.
