Ambassador of Finland completes diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan received on Wednesday the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Finland with headquarters in Helsinki Tulu Iryolu, completing his diplomatic mission in the country, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan received on Wednesday the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Finland with headquarters in Helsinki Tulu Iryolu, completing his diplomatic mission in the country, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the state and prospects of Uzbek-Finnish dialogue, relevant aspects of international and regional issues, implementation of agreements reached during the ministerial political consultations held in November 2012 in Helsinki.

During the consultations, the participants noted the significant potential for the development of multifaceted cooperation, including the field of inter-parliamentary relations, trade, economic and investment cooperation.

During this meeting, the parties stressed their mutual interest in exchanging experiences in the field of law-making, including legislative support for bilateral trade, economic, scientific, cultural and humanitarian relations.

Much attention was paid to the issues of expansion of bilateral trade and investment cooperation. The sides also exchanged views on the schedule and content of upcoming contacts at different levels.

The Foreign Ministry expressed its appreciation to the Ambassador of Finland for his active work to further strengthen bilateral relations.
