TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 2. Uzbekistan and French Meridiame Investment Bank have discussed the organization’s participation in the development of the country’s infrastructure, Trend reports.

The talks between Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairman of the Meridiame company Thierry Do took place on the sidelines of the Uzbek-French business forum.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of investing in Uzbekistan’s 'New Tashkent' project, aimed at transforming the capital city’s infrastructure.

The firm allocates investments in infrastructure across Europe, North America, and Africa, operating in 11 different nations, with assets totaling 18 billion euros.

Meanwhile, for the implementation of a large-scale 'New Tashkent' project, 19,700 hectares of land were selected in the Yukorichirchik and Urtachirchik districts of Uzbekistan’s Tashkent region.
