Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Shamseddin Hosseini and Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Mahmoud Bahmani have left Tehran for Washington to attend the seasonal joint meeting of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), reported IRNA.
During his travel to US, Hosseini will meet with his Indian, Afghan, Iraqi, Pakistani and Chinese counterparts.
The joint IFM and WB meetings are hold biannually. The hosting country normally changes every fourth year.
