Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on March 4

The gold coin was traded in Iran at 15,900,000 rials (about $356.8 according to the currency rate in Iran's free market) on March 4, indicating a rise of 1.08 percent compared to the preceding day.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,490,240 rials (about $33.4), adding 0.33 percent.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 55,102 rials in the free market, gaining 0.63 percent. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 45,971 rials.

The US dollar edged down to stand at 44647 rials in the free market. The CBI put the official rate for the US dollar at 37326 rials.
