Iranian Energy Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian and Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov reviewed the ways for the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the field of electricity, Trend reports citing IRNA.
In a telephone conversation, the two sides examined the ways of further development of cooperation in the field of electricity exchange, export of electricity technical and engineering services of Iran to Turkmenistan, and development of the two countries’ synchronization of power grids.
The two sides stressed the need for the implementation of agreements between the two presidents during the SCO summit in Tajikistan.
The Iranian energy minister and the Turkmen deputy prime minister expressed hope that they would be able to hold face-to-face meetings in the near future.
