All cars imported and commissioned in Azerbaijan will be inspected at laboratories accredited by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents from Sept. 1. The cars must meet Euro-2 environmental standards, which were implemented in the country in July 1.
Vehicles imported before Sept. 1 will be commissioned on the basis of AZS 447-2010 standards, the committee reported.
"Accreditation takes sufficient time," the committee said. "THe process will be governed by values indicated in the table until Sept. 1."
