Money transfers from Georgia from January through October 2021 amounted to $251.7 million, which is an increase of 25.6 percent, compared to $200.3 million over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
According to the statistical report, money outflow from Georgia only in October 2021 totaled $30.2 million, which is an increase of 3.4 percent, compared to $29.2 million in September 2021, and an increase of 26.8 percent, compared to $23.8 million in October 2020.
TOP-5 destinations of money transfers from Georgia (Jan. through Oct. 2021):
Russia – $73 million;
Turkey – $56.4 million;
Ukraine – $23.4 million;
Azerbaijan – $16.2 million;
Greece – $11.2 million.
Meanwhile, the volume of money inflow to Georgia from January through October 2021 amounted to $1.9 billion, compared to $1.8 billion over the same period of 2020.
