The only crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt in Rafah city will be closed Tuesday for one day on Egyptian Police Day, Hamas authorities in Gaza said Monday, Xinhua reported.
The crossing will reopen regularly on Wednesday, a statement by crossings and borders administration in the Hamas government said.
Egypt opened the crossing in June 2010 after Israel forces killed nine pro-Palestinian activists onboard Gaza-bound international aid flotilla. The crossing had been closed since Hamas expelled Palestinian security forces led by Fatah and took over the Gaza Strip in 2007.
