Sami Khedira completed his move from VfB Stuttgart to Real Madrid Saturday after successfully passing his medical, dpa reported.
The 23-year-old has agreed a five-year deal with Real, who reportedly paid in the region of 14 million euros (18.3 million dollars) for the Germany midfielder.
"Khedira is in excellent physical condition," said the head of Real's medical team, Carlos Diez. "All the tests showed that he is an athlete with great abilities."
Khedira, who is Real's fourth signing following the arrival of Sergio Canales, Pedro Leon and Angel Di Maria, will now put pen to paper on his contract before flying out Sunday to the club's pre- season training camp in Los Angeles.
