A suicide bomber killed one policeman and injured five civilians in northern Afghanistan Thursday morning, an official said, DPA reported.
A man wearing a suicide vest tried to enter a two-storey building that housed several shops in Kunduz, said Abdul Rahman Aqtash, the provincial deputy police chief.
"He could not enter the building but the bomber detonated his explosives. As result one policeman was killed and five civilians were injured," he said.
Earlier this week, four suicide attackers killed at least nine Afghan security personnel in Kunduz in a fierce 12-hour fight.
Taliban-led violence has sharply escalated in the northern region, which was comparatively peaceful until three years ago.
