Milan have beaten a host of English top-flight clubs to win the signature of Ajax star Urby Emanuelson, vice president of the Italian club Adriano Galliani confirmed on Saturday, Xinhua reported.
"Emanuelson will be a Milan player by 1st July," Galliani told Milan Channel. "We're working to bring him here from now and today we could arrive to an agreement with Ajax.
"If it is completed tonight, Emanuelson will have his medical tomorrow and available for Allegri on Monday."
Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri also commented on the 24-year- old who can play at left-wing, left-back, wing-back or in midfield. "He was one of our objectives in the transfer market and I would be happy for him to come," he said.
"He has excellent technique, he's dynamic, he's a midfielder who can play full-back but he's more of a midfielder."
