The export of cement from Turkey to China dropped by 14.65 percent from January through September 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $12.4 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
In September 2020, Turkey's cement exports to China increased by 34.94 percent compared to September 2019, having exceeded $2.39 million, the ministry said.
At the same time, cement exports accounted for 2.5 percent of the country's total exports during this period, said the ministry.
In September 2020, Turkey exported cement worth $344.6 million to global markets, which is 13.4 percent more compared to the same month of 2019.
Turkey’s cement exports for September 2020 made up 2.3 percent of the country's total exports.
Over the past 12 months (from September 2019 through September 2020), Turkey exported cement worth over $3.6 billion abroad.
