Import of Turkish carpets by Israel drops marginally

The export of carpets from Turkey to Israel declined by 3.56 percent from January through September 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, having stood at $22.7 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.

According to the ministry, in September 2020, the export of carpets from Turkey to Israel significantly decreased by 43.6 percent compared to September 2019 and amounted to $2.42 million.

Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets in the first nine months of this year amounted to 1.6 percent of the country’s total export.

In September 2020, Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets exceeded $270.5 million, which is 17.6 percent more compared to September 2019.

Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets in September this year amounted to 1.8 percent of the country’s total export.

During the last twelve months (from September 2019 through September 2020), Turkey exported carpets worth over $2.5 billion abroad.
