Body of Worker Who Remained under Collapsed Building in Neapol Leisure Center Taken Out

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Alizade / The dead body of the worker who remained under the building in the Neapol Leisure Center fall that occurred on 14 August has been removed.

The Trend Correspondent reports from the site that the rescue team could remove the body of the 57 year old Rafig Mammadov who was an IDP from Azerbaijan's district of Zengilan. He has left behind two children.

The 43 year old worker Rauf Abdullayev, who was from Sumgayt city, still remains under the building. During the fall, one worker was injured and two others were left under the building as a result of the building's collapse during construction. The reason for the fall is not yet known. Official comments have not yet been released from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The investigator of Apsheron Prosecutor's Office, Khanlar Gafarov, said that the construction was implemented by a private company whose name has not been given. A criminal case has been filed in accordance with the article 222.2 (breaking security rules for construction mountainous and other work) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
