European Union Envoy to Discuss Possible Visit to Nagorno-Karabakh
Azerbaijan, Baku, 31 March / corr. Trend K. Ramazanova/ Peter Semneby, the special envoy of the European Union in South Caucasus will visit Azerbaijan in April. Alan Vadams, the new ambassador of the European Commission to Azerbaijan said on 31 March.
Semneby will hold meetings with the members of Government and civil society of Azerbaijan and will also discuss the visit to the occupied lands of Azerbaijan. "He also intends to discuss the delicate issue of a visit to Nagorno-Karabakh," Vadams said.
Azerbaijan and the European Union approved the Plan of Action within the Europe Neighboring Policy at the end of 2007 which envisages the reforms by Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan and European Union has also signed an energy memorandum.
