Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 August / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi/ Eleven people intending to participate in the presidential elections in Azerbaijan on 15 October 2008 have submitted their documents to the Central Election Commission (CEC) for approval, CEC said to Trend .
The people nominated for presidency are country's current President Ilham Aliyev, Chairman of the Umid party Igbal Agazade, Chairman of the Popular Front Party of Unified Azerbaijan Gudrat Hasanguliyev, Chairman of the Muasir Musavat party Hafiz Hajiyev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Liberal-Democratic Party Fuad Aliyev, Chairman of the Greens Party Mais Gulaliyev, the leading researcher of the Physics Institution of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Gudrat Isagov, as well as Yashar Ahmadov, Alimukhtar Akbarov, physician Vugar Seyidov, a nurse of the Central Clinical Hospital of Sumgayit Sevinj Guliyeva.
Ilham Aliyev was nominated by the governing New Azerbaijan Party, Mais Gulaliyev by the Initiative Group of Greens, Fuad Aliyev by the Liberal-Democratic Party, Hafiz Hajiyev by the Muasir Musavat, Gudrat Hasanguliyev by the Popular Front Party of Unified Azerbaijan, Igbal Agazade by the Umid party and the remaining people nominated themselves individually.
