Turkmenistan implements a project of the German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) "Support for Legal and Judicial Reform in the Central Asian countries", Turkmen media outlets reported.
Results of the works done in 2010 were discussed at a meeting in Ashgabat. It was attended by representatives of the parliament, the Foreign Ministry, the National Institute for Human Rights under the President, the Ministry of Justice, Supreme Court, Prosecutor General's Office, employees of international organizations and others.
This program is implemented under the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the legal sphere, signed between the National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under President of Turkmenistan and the GTZ.
During the workshops comments have been prepared to some legislative acts.
The program manager Lado Chanturia said that GTZ welcomes actively developing cooperation with the government of Turkmenistan and expressed a desire to continue the progressive partnership.
