The national and moral values must be considered as one of the important conditions for Azerbaijan's development, the ruling party said.
"Strengthening Azerbaijan's positions in the region and the world and the fact that our national and moral values are on a secure and strong base," deputy chairman and executive secretary of the ruling "New Azerbaijan" party Ali Ahmadov said at a roundtable on "Independence and national and moral values" . "It is the direct result of Azerbaijan's independence. National and moral values have a special place among the many factors that make up the foundation for Azerbaijan's development ."
He said that one of the most important factors ensuring tolerance in Azerbaijan is a system of national and moral values.
"The core system of national and moral values of any people and nation is its religious views," he said.
The religious system plays a significant role in developing each nation and people, he said.
"Religion is a broader and more comprehensive system of values," he stressed.
