Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received newly appointed Ambassador of Greece Nikolaos Kanellos, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a message Oct. 2.
Ambassador Kanellos presented a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Mammadyarov.
Mammadyarov congratulated Ambassador Nikolaos Kanellos on his appointment and wished him every success in his future activities.
Ambassador Kanellos noted that he would spare no efforts to contribute to further enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries during his diplomatic mission.
At the meeting, views were also exchanged on development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Greece in energy, transport, tourism, culture and other spheres.
