BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke at the informal dialogue of ministers on NCQG (new collective quantitative goal in the field of climate financing), which took place within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the minister shared a post on his X page, Trend reports.
"I am glad to speak at the informal dialogue of ministers on NCQG, which took place today within the framework of the 79th session of the General Assembly. We firmly believe in the success of our presidency, with the help of such interaction, including NCQG, which largely depends on the solution of all the most fundamental and urgent to take responsibility for the process and to actively act as a priority," the publication said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also shared a post on its X page, highlighting Bayramov's emphasis on Azerbaijan's focus on climate financing to achieve fair and targeted outcomes at the upcoming Conference of the Parties (COP29) under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Discussing initiatives and discussions proposed during Azerbaijan's presidency at COP29, the minister outlined how these efforts contribute to resolving climate financing and other significant issues.
