On August 13-18, the head of department of Public Volunteers Union of Azerbaijan, the member of republic youth movement Irali Sabuhi Rzayev will participate at the 16th international SPID conference in Toronto, Farhad Mammadov, co-founder of the republic youth movement Irali, told Trend.
Mammadov noted that this event plays an important role in the preparation of programs by the delegations from various countries regarding effective treatment and prevention of SPID. The conference will bring together representatives of governments, international and non-governmental organizations and the youths of the countries around the world. Azerbaijan will be represented at the conference by the delegation led by the minister of youth and sport Azad Rahimov, he said.
The conference is expected to be attended by about 20 thousand persons. The ex-presidents of the USA and Ireland Bill Clinton and Mary Robinson will also take part at the conference.
It is planned during the conference to hold about 400 sessions, meetings and trainings. The youth session of the 16th SPID conference will start on August 10-12 and last between 13 and 18 August. The youth session will be attended by the representatives of international, regional and local youth organizations. Azerbaijan will be represented by S.Rzayev at the youth session. He will provide information about the situation of SPID in the country and the activities of the public and youth organizations in this sphere.
