During this period prices of foodstuffs rose 5%. As a result general inflation in Azerbaijan is 7.7%.
Foodstuff prices in the country have risen during the year. The price of sugar has risen 31%, meat 22%, potatoes 20%, milk 13%, onions 41%. Veliyev stated.
The head of the State Statistics Committee noted that the price of tea, butter, cheese, macaroni, flour, mobile handsets, computers and communications services dropped over the year. This is the main reason for the one-digit inflation in Azerbaijan.
