Azeri Foreign Minister Participated in OIC Extraordinary Meeting

The extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) took place in Jidde (Saudi Arabia) on November 18-19, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Elmar Mammadyarov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister also participated in the meeting. The meeting focused on the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians. According to the information of the Saudi press agency, making a speech in the meeting, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu the OIC Secretary General required to liquidate the unfair blockade put by Israel for Palestinians. He renewed the challenge to hold an international conference to achieve all-sided peace in the Near East on the bases of international legislation, principles land for world and Arab peace initiatives. The statement was made as a result of the meeting that mentioned all kind of support for the fight of the Palestinian people and their invincibility before the Israeli aggression. The Ministers called for the U.N. Security Council to take practical measures forcing Israel to release the occupied Palestinian territories.
