А.Gasimova / Markov, the Russian political scientist, considers that the results of the investigation made by the Russian-Georgian commission to reveal the reasons for the violation of Georgia's airspace by an unidentified aircraft will not help in resolving the South Ossetia problem.
Ramaz Sakvarelidzeh, the Georgian political scientist, said if the examination reveals that Russia violated Georgian airspace, it will seriously damage Russia's image. The International Commission reported that the unidentified aircraft violated Georgia's airspace three times.
Violation of the country's airspace was observed after Georgia established a commission to define the status of South Ossetia. The main version of the incident is a border violation was some kind of provocation by Russia. While the Russian press reported that Georgia wants to damage the larger country's international image.
Ramaz Sakvarelidzeh said if the commission discloses that Russia violated Georgian airspace, then the international community will support Georgia regarding the South Ossetia conflict.
" Georgia is interested in involving more international forces in resolving the South Ossetia conflict. Russia's key goal is to preserve the country's international image," said the political scientist and former Georgian President's press-secretary in a conversation with Trend Agency.
