Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / The Azerbaijani Justice Ministry has registered several non-governmental organizations (NGO), a spokesman for the Ministry reported on 2 October. However, the Ministry did not announce the names of the NGOs.
About 2,500 NGOs have been registered in the country and 3,600 media publications were founded.
The boards of the Ministry discussed the issues concerning registration of NGOs, as well as the recent work carried out to implement the decree of the Azerbaijani President on 'Development of Justice Bodies' from 17 August 2006.
Measures held to approve the new structure of the first degree of jurisdiction and instructions on clerical work in courts, checks and monitorings to provide executive and labour disciplines in courts, as well as an increase of professional level of judges were discussed at the meeting.
