The minimum age of primary education is reduced to five years in Georgia. The consequential amendments are made to the Law on General Education.

Under current law, school age for a child is 6 years old. The bill was discussed at a meeting of the Bureau of Parliament, although deputies have not decided - whether to consider it in an accelerated mode or postpone until the autumn session.
