Azerbaijani population’s income up by over 12%

In January 2016, income of Azerbaijan’s population increased by 12.1 percent and reached 3.08 billion Azerbaijani manats compared to the same period of 2015.

In January 2016, income of Azerbaijan's population increased by 12.1 percent and reached 3.08 billion Azerbaijani manats compared to the same period of 2015, according to a report of the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee (SCC) on results of January 2016.

The official exchange rate is 1.5612 AZN/$1 as of Feb. 23.

The volume of income of the population per capita totaled 321.2 manats in January 2016, which is 10.8 percent more than the same period of 2015, according to the report.

The population's income after paying all required fees made up 2.78 billion manats during the reporting period, which is 13.3 percent more than the same period of 2015.

Real income per capita increased by 11.9 percent and totaled 290 manats in January 2016 compared to the same period of 2015.
