BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. Baku is buzzing with excitement as it hosts a conference dedicated to education professionals throughout September, Trend reports.
The event has attracted a who's who of attendees from all walks of life, including Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, university rectors, lawmakers, and various officials from the Ministry of Science and Education.
Attendees also include the Director of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education Eshgi Baghirov, Deputy Director Narmina Huseynova, and the Acting Head of the Baku City Education Department. The conference featured school principals, leaders of preschool and extracurricular education institutions, educators, and media representatives.
Prior to the official proceedings, attendees paid heartfelt tributes at the Alley of Honor, honoring the legacy of national leader Heydar Aliyev and academician Zarifa Aliyeva with floral arrangements.
They continued the tribute at the Alley of Martyrs, commemorating those who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and unity.
Amrullayev announced that the enrollment process for students at Azerbaijan’s Karabakh University will begin on September 15-16.
"Since this is the university's first academic year, the first week will be an orientation period. Classes will officially start on September 23. This practice will also be adopted at the Turkish-Azerbaijani University.
We're waiting that the student registration is in the home stretch thanks to some extra scholarships. Registration for 99 percent of students has been completed, with no refusals. Each student will receive a scholarship. Additional scholarships ranging from 100 to 150 manat ($58 to $88) will be provided once the academic year begins. Additionally, some private companies have joined the initiative to offer extra scholarships to students," he added.
