Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Aghayeva / The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Clerical Port, Sheik-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh, has called on Islamic States to support Azerbaijan in its just fight for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The appeal was voiced at the international conference of 'Solidarity of Civilization - Solidarity for Peace' recently held in the Spanish city of Cordoba.
During the conference, the clerical leader of the Caucasus Muslims raised urgent issues relating to the Islamic world. He also encouraged the enlivening of a dialogue between civilizations and touched upon the situation in the Middle East.
The conference was organized by the Spanish Islamic Community and the Organization of Islamic Nations.
